Attached are some pictures of GEORGIA ( Aka Princess Makayla). Sh e is
adjusting very well to her new home and is up to date on all her
shots. She was fixed 2 weeks ago and is set to get her stitches out
this Saturday. You’ll be happy to hear she won 3rd prize for most
creative costume at the South Mountain Canine Costume contest. I think
she should have won first for staying in formation throughout the
parade, She made the local paper but we have yet to get a copy.
Her biggest problem is that she refuses to poop on concrete.
This is a major problem when we take her to the city. After a day of
realizing she had this aversion, we took her to the garden apt.
downstairs where she was able to relieve herself. She had quite the
back-up. We are thinking of carrying shrubs with us wherever we go. I
am sure we will need to talk with some expert to help her get over
this phobia. Other than that… she has been just fine.
The main feedback we hear from everyone is that she is ” Cute
as a Button”. I’m sure when you see these pictures, you will agree.

All the Best,
Nila and Norm

I just had to reach out and let you know how much we love our new family member Isabella that we adopted from you a week ago Friday. Isabella is a true joy and a little love. After such a short time she has craved her name in our hearts. She also makes a wonderful playmate for our golden who was so down and out over the loss of our beloved Peppa in the beginning of October. It is so heart warming to see them both playing all the time and even enjoying their downtime together. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts…………

We had been searching for a friend for our 2 year old Cockapoo, Toby, when this little girl was rescued from Jersey City. Lucky for us, Evelyn is our neighbor! We were truly in the right place at the right time. We named her Daisy. She and Toby became quick friends and are now inseparable. She was shy around strangers, but after lots of love, has blossomed into the funny, loving, happy dog we knew she could be. She loves sleeping on pillows, running with Toby, string beans from the garden, chasing fireflies, and belly rubs. Her pretty face (and especially those ears) are the talk of every dog park we visit.

Thank you for thinking of us,
Alison and Don

Our beloved Humphrey, who was also a rescue, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a short while ago. He was a wonderful little black and white Shih Tzu. We miss him so much. One morning I was feeling so empty. I decided that maybe giving an other animal a good and loving home would ease the pain a little. I went to Petfinder, and to my surprise, the first pet that I saw was a little black and white Shih Tzu. His name is Chester. Castle of Dreams had rescued him. I filled out the application and found out that there was an adoption pending for him already. So I thought maybe it wasn’t meant to be. A few days later, to my surprise, I received a call from Chester’s foster mom,Evelyn. She told me that the other adoption did not go through, and that if I would like to meet Chester, she would bring him over that day! I said, yes,of course.

Chester has been wonderful. My husband and myself just love him so much. He is very friendly with everyone, playful and that face…he has a wonderful expression that brings a smile to your face.

I am so grateful that I decided to go to Petfinder that morning. I did not get Chester to replace Humphrey, but to give a warm and loving home to another special pet….Humphrey would have loved Chester too!

One of Chester’s favorite things to do is to un-make a bed. In this picture that is what he is doing. He is having a wonderful time and so are we. He has added so much to our lives. Thank you to Petfinder, Castle of Dreams and especially Evelyn.

hi- bosco is a riot. he takes a toy out of his crate and when he wants another he puts his toy back and gets another. he loves to dig in the flower bed. he is training well and sleeps thru the nite now. we love him thank u so much for choosing us.

Thought you’d like to see some pics of “Molly”.
She’s wonderful, a terrific family dog.
Her tail wags 24/7….just a lovely temperament.

Thanks so much,

Adopted Ziva January 2009, she is now about 6 months old. She is adorable and doing well, attached is a picture of her ‘graduating’ puppy class. Thank you for helping us add Ziva to our family.

Dear Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue:

I just wanted to enclose a picture of my dog Jackie. I adopted her in December 2007 when she was still named Inky. She has a great life, which consists of playing with my neighbors’ dogs, going to the dog beach in Manasquan, and of course Yappy Hour (happy hour with your dog at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park).

Everyday this little dog makes me so happy! Thank you for bringing her into my life.

Dear Castle of Dreams Staff,

Hi. We adopted our dog Jamie through Castle of Dreams in June of 2007. I am sending a recent photo of her. She is a beautiful dog and we all love her very much. She has added so much to our family and we just wanted to let you know she is doing well.

Thank you for Jamie and for all the other dogs you help.
